Pomegrante

Pomegrante

The pomegranate (Punica granatum) is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub in the family Lythraceae. It is native to the region of Iran to northern India and has been cultivated since ancient times throughout the Mediterranean region.

Pomegranates are high in fiber, vitamins C and K, and potassium. They are also a good source of antioxidants.

The juice of the pomegranate is used in cooking and baking, as well as in cocktails and other drinks. The seeds of the fruit are also edible and can be eaten raw or used as a garnish.
